November 7, 2005: Jane and Juri closed on their house! The previous owner was obviously not an outdoors person because the brick chimney was covered in mature poison ivy. How nice. Of course that ivy was the first thing Jane had to tackle and the ivy ended up winning. She ended up getting a pretty good dose of ivy rash on her arms. Juri and I were able to clear the rest out on Saturday in between furniture moves. Friday night we bought hamburgers for the grill so they could enjoy their first cookout at their new home. We invited Arthur and Sharon along to join in the fun. I even took Dot over so she could familiarize herself with the place. She made herself right at home. The moving and the cleaning have begun in earnest.
