CEB Slides & Movies

CEB Slides 1965 - 85: FROM SHOE BOX to the CLOUD! Quite a while ago, I inherited my father's photographic slide collection. Actually, I think I went over to my parent's house one day to lend a hand as they were attempting to do a little house cleaning. I remember we came across the slides which were kept in a dining room credenza along with every old piece of camera equipment my father had owned. The slides were in a few shoe boxes crammed full of those little card board containers that slides used to come in after they had been processed and in no particular order. So my parents said, "Take 'Em!" As one of the keepers of the flame, so to speak, and as time has passed, I tried to loosely reorganize them by the dates that the film was processed into large 3-ring black binders (3 total volumes) and added a number to each slide. There ended up being a total of just a little less than 1,500 slides. I finally started scanning them to digital format in 2012, using that same slide number for each digital file. It took awhile but, I finished scanning the last volume in 2016. I know the numbering system is not in exact chronological order, but I wanted to at least get them in the ballpark. Those of you old enough to actually be the subject of some of these slides will notice, I'm sure, that they kind of jump back and forth a bit from the order they were probably taken. But the main thing is they are at least and at last all now preserved online for posterity. That is as long as someone continues to pay the website hosting bill! So those of you who have any interest, please enjoy some of Chuck (Charlie) and Calista's photographic slide memories of their family and friends from 1965 to 1985!

These are compilations of Regular 8 Home Movies of the Eastburn and Brandt families filmed from 1949 through 1952. Mostly these were just 5 minutes long each because film was relatively expensive when you included the cost of processing.

Eastburn/Brandt Home Movies 1949-1952 (1 hr 2 min).

The following version includes a narration recorded circa 2003.

Brandt Home Movies 1953-1954 with narration (28 min).

I came across some photos taken at a Brandt family together in 1999. Since these were mostly of my Dad's family, I thought this might be the best place to post them. This looked like it was organized by my cousin Chuck and JoAnn because I recognize their house. Probably was the last time we all got to see Uncle Mel and Aunt Catherine, as well as Aunt Louise.
