March 31, 2013: The stars aligned in a particular way so that we decided to celebrate Easter on Saturday in lieu of Sunday. First, we helped my Nephew Will and his wife Stephanie celebrate the first birthday of their son Benjamin on Saturday from noon to 2 pm. You could tell that Ben was really getting into all the fun and attention, not to mention the room full of presents. We returned to our home in the afternoon where the fun continued. The weather cooperated and Emmaleigh was able to have an Easter Egg hunt. Her sleuthing skills have vastly improved from a year ago. Then our friends, Dennis, Kayla, Anne and Sam were able to drop by for a short visit, before having to head back to Michigan and the U.P. Coincidentally, we found out that Anne works with Stephanie -- so it's a very small world. Janet prepared a very tasty Easter dinner of ham and potato-cheese-bacon casserole. And with a nod to the NCAA tournament, I think we now all have to be rooting for Michigan to win it all -- Anne's and Sam's (soon to be) alma mater.
And I think Spring is finally in the air, because we saw Doofus, III or IV, our resident ground hog for the first time this season.
