Saturday; June 23rd: We got to host a very special "surprise" birthday party honoring Ron's 75th and Arthur's 60th. We thank our co-conspirators -- Julie, Sharon, Jim and Janet for pulling off a truly great event. Just the look on Ron's face made it all worth it. Thanks to everyone who participated in the surprise -- especially Marcia and Bill; John and Celia; Maria, Melanie and Victoria; Jerry; Marty; Chris and his family, Susan and all the folk dancers.

Lush green grass and trees abound
In the place where we were found,
To be partying up a storm
As Raindrops fell on face forlorn.

But not for long did clouds remain
we soon recovered smiles again.
To honor friends with food and gifts
In turn to have our spirits lift.

Thank you for your cheerful efforts
Where western garb and balloons met us.
Open home and hearts, tall tents...
Reigning over time well spent.

Given and received.
