May 11, 2014: Sunday; Mother's Day. We celebrated by enjoying a picnic on the grounds of the Indianapolis Art Museum. Hanks and Sunking ... doesn't get much better than that, and the weather finally cooperated.
I've also been spending several weeks working on redoing our back upper deck. Had to take it clear down to the structural framing and basically start over. But I think I got it right this time by going with an EPDM rubber roof. I was able to salvage the deck boards which had to be entirely removed, pressure washed, and finally reinstalled. Quite a bit of material handling though and very labor intensive.
Last weekend we traveled to Bloomington and got the see their Matisse exhibit and film. Tessa had prepared a wonderful lunch. I took a picture of the recipe.
