Thanksgiving 2001

HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2001: Today we certainly all have so much to be thankful for. Our health, our families and our freedoms. And a special thanks to all the men and women overseas fighting against terrorism. The weather was sunny and I think it had to be in sixties. Very comfortable sweater weather. Dad and Kathy were up from Florida for the holiday and the kids were home from school. We went up to Sally and Jim's for Thanksgiving dinner and everything was absolutely delicious. It's always amazing to be able to have so much good food. We ate and ate and still there were many leftovers -- ah, but that's half the fun, too. The fashion statement my father is wearing in the pictures is a bib that Janet made for him in order to keep his sweaters and shirts clean. Pretty wild fabric (it's reversible), but it worked! He'd been asking for one for quite awhile. Charles called from San Francisco and it was really good to talk with him. Tomorrow, it's back to the "Y" for an extended workout. I've learned over the past couple of months these extra pounds are not willing to come off without putting up a good fight. And that's just what I'm prepared to give 'em. Enjoy the pictures and movies.
