NOVEMBER 28, 2002 - THANKSGIVING: Joyce hosted a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at her house this year. Janet's Aunt Joan was also able to join us from Detroit, so it made for a very special time. And of course the newest proud parents, Chris and Chrissy, brought Anna Calista with them. She is just about one month old now, and represents the next generation. Such a cute baby -- wonderful hands and long fingers. Grandmother Sally is able to spend alot of her time helping out with the new baby, which I know she really enjoys. And most of the other kids or cousins were also able to make it - Jennifer (Chicago), Steven (New York), Suzanne, Mary and Will, Melissa and Torry along with daughter Jane.
Thanks to all the cooks or should I say chefs who contributed to the marvelous feast. It was really grand.
Joanie brought with her the watercolors that Virginia had made for her mother over the years. I know Janet will treasure these, too. Matt joined Jane on Friday and we were able to visit the new Indiana State Museum on Saturday. This is a brand new facility and a real gem for Indiana and Indianapolis. We didn't have enough time to see everything, so I'm sure I'll be returning. We also visited Circle Center Mall which was really hopping.
Aunt Joan had to catch a flight back to Detroit Sunday morning. We then had one last very fine Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday afternoon that Janet prepared with all the trimmings. And then Matt and Jane helped get out all the Christmas decorations from the attic before they had to head back to their respective homes.
