FEBRUARY 2003: This winter has been one for the record books. I know February broke the record for the most snow and I think we are the fourth snowiest for the whole winter. I'm sure glad I had a snow blower this season. Last weekend was the worst. First it rained for a few hours on Saturday, then it started snowing. It ended up being the heaviest snow I think I've ever shoveled. My back was killing me. I think the pictures that I took along Silver Lane Dr. capture some of the nicer views of the snow, but all-in-all I'm ready for spring.
Aunt Kay|24.197.125.143|hvcarsouth@charter.net||2|3|25|2003|5|45|16|PM|I hope you have all seen the pictures Julie has posted re Creel/Wood/Holmes, etc. They are wonderful. The Creel house in Angola is on West Gale Street next to Klink Funeral Home. The dogwood which was in the foreground last time I was there was planted by Daddy as a boy. The third floor of the house was built as a ballroom... The picture of Creel's, Uncle Lyle, my grandfathers's brother was taken in Coldwater, Michigan in front of the Elk's Club. Daddy practiced medicine there after Sarah died and he was injured in an automobile accident in Chicago. He could not drive, and had a chauffer for a long time from Angola to Coldwater. (Long before I was born.) That is where he met Helen, my mother who was a nurse at the Wade County Hospital in Coldwater, Michigan. I have many pictures. Will consult Julie about how to post them. Blessings, and please keep in touch. You all are terrible correspondents. Love, Aunt Kay
