July 1974: This is quite a long time ago. Dennis, Dan, Wil (Bill) and I signed up to participate in one of the early WNAP raft races down the White River. As I was reminded by the pictures, we had a glorious day of floating down the river that ended with wonderful '70s music in Broadripple Park. I happened upon the negatives and pictures from that event and thought I'd go ahead and scan them for posterity. I scanned in both color and Black and White just to see if it made any difference, so that's why you'll find both here.
July 1975: Because we had so much fun the first time, we tried it again, the following year. Well, as you might imagine, this was our last time. First, it was rainy and overcast. Then there were a lot more people. Next, our hybrid raft fell apart and we had to make for shore well before the park. Heck, I don't think we ever made it. Dennis was about to punch me. But at least we made the press. Ah, such fond memories.
